MONOLITH PLATFORM BASED SOLUTIONS
BrOker back office
The Monolith system is capable of delivering end-to-end business process support for investment services from recording the deal being done right through to its settlement, including analytics and general ledger account movements across the full range of investment products. In addition, the system provides a solution for booking operational accounts and thereby supporting full general ledger accounting.
BANK SECURITIES BACK OFFICE
The Monolith system supports client- and securities account management in settling custodian deals (transfer, closing, physical securities etc.), financial deals (external- and internal payment order, foreign exchange etc.) and securities deals (buy / sell, orders). In addition, the system provides a solution for the collection and/or payment of emoluments (settlement of repayments and the payment of interest-, dividends and yields)
Treasury back Office
The Monolith system supports the settlement of deals which may be concluded by the bank’s Treasury department and investment services deals relating to the following transactions: FX spot, forward, futures, swap, option, interest rate swap, buying and selling bonds, repo deals and share purchase orders for institutional clients. The system also supports booking with respect to own-account securities portfolio: daily booking of market price re-evaluations and accrued interest.
FUND MANAGEMENT BACK OFFICE
The Monolith system is capable of supporting the entire settlement and accounting activity for investment fund managers who manage securities funds from recording the deal being done (buy / sell, derivatives) right through to calculating regular portfolio evaluation and net asset values (NAV) as stipulated by law, and in the manner required by the client. The system also enables you to check the portfolio- and investment limits specified in the legislation and as defined by the client, and to calculate, delimit and debit costs (fund management fee etc.) and commissions (trailer fee etc.), in addition to allowing you to book operational accounts and support the full general ledger accounting.
TRADING INVESTMENT PRODUCTS
The Monolith system supports trading shares, bonds and investment funds at bank branch networks and call centres by means of orders and buy/sell deals. A full range of processes are supported covering recording the deal being done, through automatically allocating trades and settling the deal to the client printing out the confirmation.
Besides standard securities- and client account management, the Monolith system supports regular portfolio evaluation, calculating net asset values, and checking portfolio and investment limits specified in the effective legislation and as defined by the client. The system also enables you to keep track of and account corporate events specific to companies issuing securities which appear in the portfolio.
In line with present day demands, the revised Avantgarde+ portfolio management module offers you the opportunity to define model portfolios according to different risk categories. Once they have selected the model portfolio corresponding to the client’s risk classification, the investment advisor can synchronise the client portfolio to the composition of the model portfolio assigned to the client and on the basis of the products recommended within specific asset categories.

KEY SYSTEM FEATURES
IMPLEMENTATION METHODOLOGY (MONOLITH EASY-ON):
Implementation follows the Monolith Easy ON! methodology. This means we start out on a virtual site with an already half configured system so in the implementation phase we just need to set up any incidental differences and local features. In this way we create a sample in the master data settings, the analytics and general ledger account structure, the operational processes for the required transactions (configuration), as well as the lists and client certificates (transaction certificates, extract from the statement of account, certificate of deposit).
